I said that is awesome! I know exactly what he means as I now have the law of gravity written on my heart and I now float 18 inches off the ground. I no longer am under the bondage of gravity and am free to defy it. I must admit though, that it kinda feels like I am still walking on the ground, but maybe soon it won’t.

Then I said that I also put the traffic laws on my heart and now drive at 125 mph. The police seem to not understand the bible and keep giving me tickets. Can you imagine? We will have to keep the police in prayer as they just don’t understand the law like we do.

And just the other day, I was doing my taxes and then decided I would just give it to the Lord and He wrote the tax laws on my heart too. Yeah…now I don’t have to pay taxes. Hmm, that one I kinda like?!? Uh hold on….the IRS is at the door, let me see what they could possibly want.

So what does it mean to be “Free In Jesus”? What makes us free anyway?

This nation has more laws on the books than any Nation in the world and is called the “Freest Country In The World”  at least for a little longer anyway.

You obey its laws and you are free to be anything you want. You disobey its laws and you go to jail and you lose your freedom. Yet while living in freedom by being a law abiding citizen in this country we somehow think that obeying God is bondage.

So in the same way that writing the Tax, Gravitational, and Traffic Laws on my heart do not relieve me from it’s observance or effects, either does writing God’s Laws on my heart relieve me from obeying Him! It is no wonder the body of Christ is sick, broke and split….we don’t obey Him. He PROMISES us His blessings will overtake those who obey Him….In the same breath He says that curses will follow those who disobey Him.

Besides, the whole logic is nuts. If you write something on your heart, you are making it part of you. My coveneant to my wife is written on my heart! Does she need to worry if we lose the piece of paper that says we are committed to each other? No, it is written on my heart. I gave her my heart. Yeshua wants your heart too! He said if you love me, keep my commandments! So write them on you heart and show your love for Him through your obedience! He will in return bless you!

So what is this false rumor? Well mainly that you have to keep the commandments to be saved. First let me say plainly…No, you do not have to keep the commandments to get saved!

Ok, I have said this at least a few times to certain people and amazingly they will repeat the false accusation over and over, even though I categorically deny the belief. Why do they keep accusing then? Well, I once heard it explained that they have a level of understanding that must fit within a box and anything out side that box just can’t get in the box. That is why we must pray that eyes and ears be opened by Yeshua. I try not to have any anger against these false accusers as they really are just having a hard time seeing outside the box. For the most part I believe they love Yeshua and are trying to protect what they perceive to be the truth. So do not be angry! Remember, for the majority of you reading this…You were likely saying the same thing at one time. I did!

If they would just listen to what I will write below and ask God to reveal the truth to them, I think they will at least stop the false accusations. For their sake I pray it be so.

Salvation is by Grace through Faith in Yeshua (Jesus) alone!

Keeping all commandments perfectly without the blood of the lamb will not get you into The Kingdom!

Then why do we say you must keep the Commandments? Well…we don’t Yahweh does! For salvation? No, for blessing only!

I am amazed that we live in a culture that teaches it’s children to obey their parents because we love our children and only want the best for them and want no harm to come to them and in the next breath utter the words that we don’t have to obey the Heavenly Father. Do you place too hard a burden on your children by telling them not to play in the street? Are you placing your child under some iron fist when you command them to stop before running into traffic? No…that sounds like a loving parent to me.

Lets go back to the Exodus for a minute and see the pattern for salvation.

Israel was in slavery…In bondage to Pharaoh. A type and shadow of how we are slaves to sin. Yahweh commanded that a death angel would kill all the firstborn who did not do what? Kill the lamb and put it’s blood over their doorposts.

It is only by the blood of the lamb that we can be saved. Then all the people were immersed into the Red Sea or Sea of Reeds and came out free on the other side. The bones of Joseph (a type and shadow of Messiah) were no longer in Egypt. The grave was empty! At this point the people were saved by the blood of the lamb. They believed through faith that covering themself in the blood of the Lamb would save them. Sounds just like how we are saved today. Why do I bring up this story? One reason!

The Torah or Commandments had not been given to them yet! They had not even heard them from the mountain yet. We believe the same way. We do not toss a bible in front of people and say for them to swear that they will keep the Torah and then they can be saved. Why because it is not “The Way”. It never has been and it isn’t now. So frankly….stop the accusations. I’m tired of it and it is false and that makes you an accuser of the brethren. A false accuser at that.

So we believe you are saved through faith, then you are Immersed (baptized). Then why the Commandments? Well let’s continue in the story. Yahweh brings “His” people to the Mountain and the people hear His Voice speak the 10 Commandments and the ancient writers over 2000 years ago (before Yeshua’s walk on the earth) say that tongues of fire came off the mountain and rested on each person and they heard Him speak in over 70 languages. Do you know what day this happened? The same exact day as in Acts where the tongues of fire came and rested on a group of 120 people in an upper room and they went out speaking to people in their own tongues. The day the Holy Spirit was given. Shavuot or Pentecost.

Back to the mountain. The people were so scared by the awesome power of God they asked Moses to please ask God to speak to Him directly and they would then do what Moses said. Yahweh agreed! Guess what, If he had not agreed to this, the people would have heard every commandment out of the mouth of God. But He agreed and so we have the Torah of Moses. The first 5 books of the bible. Spoken to Moses by The Word of God.

Quick question…Who is The Word?

That’s right, Yeshua is The Word! He spoke to Moses and told him to teach My children so they will be blessed. The Torah, The Word of God, The Living Word…comes from the lips of our blessed Messiah Yeshua.

So they could be saved? No He already did that! He gave the Torah to His people so they would know how to live. So they would know how to be Holy before Him. So they would be blessed in their walk. And so they would understand His times and seasons, and His plan of redeeming the whole world. That is why we study His Torah. It is the foundation that all other scriptures rest on.

We obey the commandments because we wish to be blessed and not cursed. We obey because we choose life an not death. We obey because we Love Yeshua and He said, “If you love Me, keep My Commandments”. Not for salvation! But just because we love Him!

So is there a new way to get saved? No, the way remained the same as from the beginning. Please turn back to The Beginning and start at the front of the Book and ask God to reveal his truth to you.
